I’m currently a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at the School of Computing, University of Georgia and a Research Affiliate at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA-ARS) in Athens.

I received my Master’s degree in Software Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology of Pakistan (NUST) in 2019 and my Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) in 2016.

I’m currently working with Prof. Suchendra M. Bhandarkar (UGA) and Dr. Seung-Chul Yoon (USDA-ARS) on efficient detection and classification of foreign object in broiler meat using hyperspectral imaging.

My research interests include efficient deep learning, computer vision. I’m particularly interested in optimizing deep learning architectures/models especially vision models via efficient designs and hardware optimization for real-time applicability in multiple domains such as food safety, remote sensing.
